Performance module - overview & benefits

In this article, you will learn about the key features of the Performance module and the benefits of using it.

Written by Paweł Gonczaruk

We present the key features and benefits of using the Performance module - a tool that helps organizations manage employee goals, continuous development, and performance reviews in one place. With goal tracking, flexible review processes, customizable feedback forms, and automated workflows, the module gives employees, managers, and HR teams a clearer view of progress and development while reducing the manual work involved in performance management.

📝 Creating review processes (templates)

The module allows you to build your own review processes with a defined set of questions, structure, and timeline. Once created, a process becomes a ready-to-use template that can be reused in future cycles - helping you maintain consistency across reviews and save HR time with every edition.

👥 Launching review sessions for full teams or selected employees

Review sessions can be started with a single click - for the entire company, specific departments, teams, or a selected group of employees. This removes the need to manually invite participants and makes it easy to scale the process as your organization grows.

🔄 Multiple types of reviews: self-review, peer review, and manager review

The module supports three types of assessments: self-reviews, peer reviews, and manager reviews. This allows you to gather different perspectives on an employee’s work, competencies, and challenges - from everyday collaboration to a strategic manager’s view.

🧩 Flexible question forms

Review forms can include open questions, closed questions, rating scales, and single- or multiple-choice options. This allows you to tailor the process to the role, the organization’s culture, and the level of detail you expect from participants.

🔔 Automatic notifications and reminders

The system automatically reminds participants about ongoing reviews and upcoming deadlines. As a result, the process runs smoothly, and HR doesn’t need to manually track who has completed their review.

📋 “To complete” view for participants

Each employee sees a personal list of reviews they need to complete - including both self-reviews and peer reviews. This makes it easier to stay organized, avoid delays, and reduces the number of questions directed to HR.

💾 Saving draft versions

Participants can save a draft of their review and return to it later to complete or refine their answers. This improves comfort and supports more thoughtful, high-quality feedback.

📈 Progress tracking for review sessions

HR and managers have real-time visibility into the session’s progress: who has completed their review, who is currently working on it, and who hasn’t started yet. This enables quick intervention when needed and removes the need for manual status tracking.

↔️ Assigning reviewers

The module allows you to define who reviews whom - for example, peers, team members, or leaders. This reflects real collaboration patterns and ensures that feedback comes from the right people.

📚 Manager Summary

After collecting all reviews, the manager creates a final summary using a dedicated view that displays the employee’s assessments. This supports informed decisions about development, promotions, and career planning, based on consistent and structured data.

🕓 Review history and comparison with previous cycles

Managers can access previous review results for each employee. This helps assess progress, identify recurring challenges, and plan next development steps.

🔐 Permissions and visibility control

Access to reviews and summaries is restricted to authorized individuals, such as the administrator, the reviewed employee, and their manager. This ensures data security and compliance with HR standards and GDPR requirements.

Deadlines and automatic session closure

Each session can include deadlines for completing reviews and manager summaries. Once the deadline passes, the session closes automatically, keeping the workflow organized and supporting consistent review timelines.

♻️ Reusing review templates

Any previously created process can be saved as a template and reused again. This is especially helpful for organizations that conduct annual, quarterly, or 360° reviews.

🎯 Setting and tracking employee goals

Create, assign, and track employee goals in one place. Each goal can include an owner, deadline, description, and progress level. Employees and managers can regularly update progress, add comments, flag goals as at risk, and close them with the appropriate final status. This makes it easier to track both employee development and business objectives over time.
