How to manage company-wide and personal settings for time zones, language, and notifications

Set up time, language, and notifications across your workspace and individual accounts

Default date, time, and language settings for the whole organization

The administrator can set up the default date, time, and language for the whole company in Configuration → Account settings:


Admins can change the date, time, and language settings for an employee

If you (as an Administrator) want to change the date and time format or language for one employee:

  1. Open Configuration → People.

  2. Double-click on the particular employee

  3. Click the ellipsis [...] symbol.

  4. Select Profile settings, make the changes, and click Save.

Admins can adjust notification preferences and channels for individual employees

If you (as an Administrator) want to change the notification settings for one employee:

  1. Open Configuration → People

  2. Double-click on the particular employee

  3. Click the ellipsis [...] symbol

  4. Select Notification settings, make the changes, and all the updates will be automatically saved.

Personal notifications can be updated (enabled/disabled) by the employee themselves as well - check more details here.

Personal notifications include:

  1. Absence request for approval – notification for a manager when an employee submits a time-off request.

  2. Appointment as a substitute – notification when you're assigned as a substitute during someone's absence.

  3. Status of your leave requests – updates when your leave request is approved, rejected, or modified.

  4. Clock in/out reminder – daily reminder to start or end your workday.

  5. Timesheet change request for approval – alert for managers to review and approve changes in an employee’s timesheet.

  6. Working day not finished – reminder when your workday is still open at the end of the day.

  7. Status of changes in your working time records – notifications when your timesheet updates were approved/rejected.

  8. Late subordinates – notification when someone from your team is late to start their workday.

  9. Team members didn’t finish their workday – alert if someone from your team forgot to clock out.

  10. Documents – notifications about new, updated, or assigned documents (e.g. policies or contracts).

Each notification can be sent via email, mobile app, Slack, or Microsoft Teams.
