When submitting the requests, the reason field may be disabled (invisible), optional, or required to be completed.

To enter the appropriate settings in the Configuration → Absence types you can edit the settings for the selected absence type → Fields & visibility tab:
After activating the reason field, we have two options to fill in:
Text field →the employee can enter any reason for absence
Predefined list - here we can add a list of reasons to choose:
Finally, we remember to save the changes → Save.
