New People report: how does it work?

The article describes the new features of the People Report.

The new way of configuring report

There are three steps to getting the report:

  1. Search from all available fields from the user profile in the list in the left window

  2. Check the selected fields to be included in the report in the right window.

  3. Click the Download button to get the Excel file (there is no preview option)

You can choose from all available fields

  • Adding fields to the report: Move the field from the left column to the right column using the "Add column" button.

  • Removing fields from the report: Move the field from the right column to the left column using the "Remove column" button.

  • Managing the order of fields: By adding or removing fields, you can control the order of columns in the report. The last added field always goes to the end of the list and thus will be the last column in the downloaded report.

Filtering and adding fields in a bulk

To further streamline report preparation, we have added the following features:

  • Bulk adding/removing of fields: The "Add all" and "Remove all" buttons allow for quick addition or removal of all fields with one click.

  • Filtering: Filters already familiar from other parts of the application have also been introduced to the new report. Filters are autosave. They enable precise data selection based on criteria such as:

    • team,

    • type of contract,

    • status (active, archived, all),

    • or specific employees.

    The filters work faster and are more intuitive, significantly streamlining workflows.

  • Searching for fields: Above the columns, a search bar searches in both windows simultaneously. This allows you to search for fields by phrase and add/remove only the filtered ones.

  • Settings saving: The report saves the last settings, including selected columns and their order, so users don't have to redefine settings each time.

Managers have restricted access to fields

The administrator has the possibility to restrict access to People data in Configuration -> Custom Fields


More updates are coming soon

As we continue to develop reports, we plan to introduce the following features in the near future:

  • Defining and Saving Report Templates

Soon, you’ll be able to define and save various report templates. Each administrator and manager can customize the data scope they need and save this configuration as a template. Multiple templates can be saved, allowing you to reduce the time spent preparing reports for download. With just one click on the "Download" button for the desired template, your work will be done quickly!

  • Report Preview Before Downloading

We’ll add a feature to preview the report before downloading, ensuring it meets your requirements without unnecessary adjustments.

  • Drag-and-Drop Column Reordering

Rearrange columns with a simple drag-and-drop action for better customization and clarity in your reports.

  • Automatic Report Generation for a Specified Date

We’ll introduce the ability to automatically generate and send reports as of a specific date. Are you heading on vacation? No worries about missing out on preparing a crucial report! The system will handle it for you, and when you return refreshed, you’ll find your reports ready for download based on the chosen date.

👉 We plan to restrict access to the previous version of the People report starting from the 31st of January 2025. If you have any questions or suggestions, contact us using the "Add Feedback" option in the app.
