We have made significant changes to our reporting tool β a new People report is now available. This update introduces a range of improvements aimed at simplifying the definition and management of data exported from Calamari.
What has changed?
New functionality in the People report allows users to precisely specify which data to export and in what order. Here are the key changes we've made:
Easier data management: Users can now easily define which fields to include in the report and in what order. Users can now select and arrange columns in the report themselves, which previously required manual editing of the spreadsheet after downloading.
Improved HR workflow: The new tool significantly simplifies the report creation process, eliminating the need for additional actions after downloading files.
How it works:
In the interface of the new report, there are two main windows:
The left window contains a list of all available fields in the employee profile.
The right window shows the list of fields to be included in the downloaded report.
Users can manage fields in the following way:
Adding fields to the report: Move the field from the left column to the right column using the "Add column" button.
Removing fields from the report: Move the field from the right column to the left column using the "Remove column" button.
Managing the order of fields: By adding or removing fields, you can control the order of columns in the report. The last added field always goes to the end of the list and thus will be the last column in the downloaded report.
To further streamline report preparation, we have added the following features:
Bulk adding/removing of fields: The "Add all" and "Remove all" buttons allow for quick addition or removal of all fields with one click.
Searching for fields: Above the columns, there is a search bar that searches in both windows simultaneously. This allows you to search for fields by phrase and add/remove only the filtered ones.
Settings saving: The report saves the last settings, including selected columns and their order, so users don't have to redefine settings each time.
The new People report is now available in BETA version. This means that we are continuously working to improve it.
Unlike the previous report, the People report in BETA version already allows you to:
Define which fields should be exported to a file.

Add a "drag and drop" method, allowing you to move fields between windows and easily change the order of selected fields.
Introduce the ability to preview the report before downloading.
π In the future, as reports evolve, users will be able to:
Define and save templates for multiple reports.
Generate reports periodically, according to a set schedule.
